So now let’s talk July. Which books are you choosing to read this month? I have two book tours coming up, and I’m participating in a Harry Potter challenge, so this is what my TBR is forecasting:

The Last Time I Lied by Riley Sager

36626748This is a thriller/mystery about a woman who is haunted by three summer camp bunkmates who went missing several years ago. Their disappearance was never solved, and years later, the woman is asked to return to the camp as a teacher, and she can tell not everything is as it should be.
I have already started reading this and so far the writing is fantastic. I was drawn to this book because I am a long-time summer camp attendee and anytime I find books dealing with camps, I am IN! Add some mystery and suspense and I am a happy girl. I am reading this one with the Fantastic Flying Book Club and I’m thrilled to share my review on July 5th.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by J.K. Rowling

28137887As I mentioned, I am participating in a Harry Potter challenge where reading (or re-reading) the Harry Potter series is an option. I decided to pick up the audiobook for the first time because I have heard great things about the narrator. Well, he is definitely living up to the hype! I already know that I like the Harry Potter series, so I am thrilled to be coming at it from a new direction.

Between Frost and Fury by Chani Lynn Feener

35795893This is the second book in The Xenith Trilogy, the first of which I read in June. Book 1 left off on a cliffhanger and I am eager to jump into Book 2. I was a little skeptical of Book 1 when I first started it, but as I continued on, I was drawn in farther and farther to the alien world. I couldn’t help but enjoy the flirting between the human girl and her alien guard, but above all I am eager to find out what will happen between the main character and the prince of the opposing kingdom. He is a sort of broody villain, but yet, there is love there. So I’m anxious to get into the next book, which is releasing on July 24th, but I am reading early with XPresso Book Tours!

Children of Blood and Bone by Toni Adeyemi

34728667And last but certainly not least, this month I am planning on finishing this masterpiece. I’m just over halfway through and all of the hype and acclaim that this book is getting is well worth it. From the very beginning I was drawn in to the world of Orïsha. Children of Blood and Bone alternates between three perspectives and every character is fascinating. Rumors of a movie being made are already circulating and I can see why! If you haven’t picked this one up yet, I highly recommend it!

And that’s it for now, my friends. I hope that you have had a wonderful June, and that your July is full of fresh reads!!
